Titan wishlist

Postby Braathe » 28 Jul 2009, 15:06

A few features I would like to see implemented in Titan

Option to set chase direction to random, It can be a pain to make a 200 step chase to get a proper random feel to it.

Wheel acceleration on shape time, chase speed, etc. Either by holding down AVO-key or by speed up after a set amount of spin time.

Random dimmer shape, I do not know if this is possible with the way the shapes work ?

A wish I had from a external technician was the option to "flash" a palette.
So If one hold down a palette button for more than one sec or so it would release and go back to the state before the palette button was pressed.
This could come in pretty handy when busking.

Can you not already do this with the review key? If not then it is definitely available via show library. IIRC there is a random tick box as well as random in the play order drop down list. I don't think anyone knows why there are two settings for this!

My bad on this one, for some reason i had totally overlooked it. Playback options and a few clicks solved it.

Are you sure you can't access this directly with the review key (while connected)? The chase control keys should give access to all play orders including random allowing you to change this quickly.

It would be very nice if you could switch to pearl classic without external screen.

Fixture LEDs Show Occupation feature is very nice when patching, but in my opinion, LEDs are bit to bright for programming and sometimes it's hard to see which fixtures are selected.
Best solution would be to add posibility to adjust LED brightnes for un-selected fixtures, but easy one would be to add 3rd option in user settings that disables this feature - "Show Occupation", "Mimic Intensity" or "Show Selection".

This is in version 2 :-)

This is impossible to do as the application which controls the LCD screen and buttons is the application you need to switch. We also state that you should never use the console without an external VDU. Not having a VDU means you might miss important information.

And while we're at it, this is in v2 also.

would be great to see a Generic Macro Editor, like in Martin LJ.
The ability to lay generic shapes (sine, steps etc) over specific channels, and have control over the offset, intensity, direction, timing.

Also the ONE thing that would be really helpfull to see would be a 'Random' direction option for the shape generator. To achieve random strobe effects etc. Or if there is already a way-around, i'd love to know about it!

I think it`s great when you can set 'followtimes' in a cuelist. That you can start cue 1, and cue 2 starts after 3 seconds, without pushing any buttons.

And when you set fixture order in a cuelist, i can`t deselect the fixture who is already in the automatic fixture order?

For 'followtimes' can you not use link?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean about fixture order.

Can you explain what you mean with link, or give me a page number from the manual where i can read it.

Fixture order in a cuelist. When i set fixture overlap at 30% or so, then is the fixture order in the order where i`ve selected all the fixtures in that group. When i wanna have an other order, i can`t deselect the fixture who`s already in the order.

Hopefully it`s clear so?
