Titan One vs Quartz for small touring rigs
Hi all, I run lighting for small club tours and I am weighing a Titan One dongle against a Quartz for a 24-fixture rig. Anyone using Titan One with a laptop on the road - how does it hold up over a long set, and do you keep a spare console as backup? Any advice appreciated.

Re: Titan One vs Quartz for small touring rigs
Is the titan mobile or the t3 not a cheaper option than a Quartz? Or do you already own the Quartz perhaps?
For the tours I do I just bring my mobile with a touchscreen laptop and maybe an extra touchscreen if I need more screen real estate, but for me that is the perfect starting point it being compact but I can still run 16 universes if I really need to.
To me there is another advantage over the mobile setup to a quartz, on a mobile your laptop is processing everything so if you need more power to run stuff just grab another laptop that has more power, way cheaper than upgrading a console.
A huge plus for me is that a laptop is in a way a ups so if FOH power drops you don't have to wait for a console restarting and you might still have control over all the lights.
But if a mobile is not an option I would go with the quartz, nothing beats a standardized"ish" button layout and just having a button for all my functions and some faders for quick control.
hope this helps a bit!
