Reduce Fixture Intensity

Postby Pearce Hire » 02 Aug 2005, 10:36

Hi,

I'm just wondering if Reduce Fixture Intensity is implemented and working properly in Pearl 2004 V1.2. It's a function I have never used on the Pearl despite using Pearls for a number of years. However at the weekend I was working on a festival that the BBC were filming and needed to be able to knock out the colour washes on the front truss while they were filming.

I read the manual and followed the instructions which didn't seem that clear but could not seem to get it to work. I also tried several other things to get it working but couldn't get any response from the reduce fixture intensity button.

Does it work or am I doing something silly? We worked round the problem by triming the limit on the dimmer racks but would be handy to know how to do this on the console for future reference.

did you remember to hold the Avo-key while pressing the "reduce-fixture-intensity" button?

That will be it then! The manual we had on site is an older one which came with the desk when we brought it last year, the section on Reduce Fixture Intensity isn't as clear and makes no mention of holding down the Avo key.

Just checked the latest version of the manual online and it's much clearer! Must print out a copy of the new manual.

ok.. good luck with it!

I never carry a manual around, it wasn't shipped with the desk (2nd hand), and sometimes it's quite a bummer if you're looking for a specific feature.
