First at all, I'm a novice in Pearl use, so sorry about question "not in right place".
I've tried to define a stage - I have 4 moving scans (low-end Trix Carat 575 models, personality files made by Avolites) in line. I set all of them to top left corner of stage, then press A "top left", then top right... and so on. After that, I pressed Enter to finish - and Pearl freezes - no progress shown on LCD, some LEDs lighted up and nothing more happened. I tried this more times and result was always the same. Once I waited for about 20 minutes to be sure that pearl isn't just "thinking".
What am I doing bad? Is this normal to pearl 2004 to freeze just by "pressing bad combination of buttons"? Is this a hardware error of my piece?
Thanx for Your answers.
Pearl 2004 - defining stage in Tracking mode

I can't say I have ever had much use for this function, so I am not sure.
If noone else has an answer before I will test in a couple of days for you.
What Version software are you running? - Turn key to system:
Either it will be at the top of the LCD or you need to press softbutton A [Service], followed by softbutton B [Software ID]
I found this from the 2000 software manual:

I found this from the 2000 software manual:
Problem : Desk locks up when trying to train instruments for tracking.
Solution 1 : You may be using old Personality Files which do not have the MIRROR settings in them. Use new version personality files. If desperate add the line MIRROR 1 120 180 to the personality file. This will probably work reasonably well.
Solution 2 : Possibly some instruments have not been trained but are selected.
I'm running a 1.1 version.
1. I'll look at this personalities, but they are totaly new, avolites made them 3 weeks ago for my request.
2. I think I've trained all of them. Do I have to trainem one by one? I mean moving scan no. 1 - top left, top right,... bottom right, then moving scan no.2 ... and so, or all of them to top left, then top right....?
I tried to train them all together.
Thank You for response.

Eskiamk,
I'm fairly sure that your problem is with the personality file - I couldn't find the pan/tilt degree values when I was writing the personality, and so left them out of the MIRROR line. This means that when the desk tries to work out the positions on the stage, it divides a number by zero and crashes.
If you can tell me roughly how many degrees the mirror can pan and tilt by (it's usually around 100 degrees pan and 160 degrees tilt on most scanners), then I can add this information into the personality file and Tracking will work properly for you. Unfortunately the information doesn't appear to be in Trix's website, so I can't add or find it myself.
Sorry about this problem!

RE:
Thank You very much for Your information,
now I will sleep much more better knowing that my pearl is okay
.
I'll try to find out these numbers (degrees of pan/tilt), but now it's not so important for me, those Trixes was just borrowed.
Also I do appreciate that Trix makes products which belongs to lowest low-end, so I'm not surprised that they don't have these information on website (maybe they don't know them...
).
Thank You very much for Your interest and quick response!
