Many people have found larger sticks don't work. I recommened 2 or 4GB. Have a look here for some other suggestions.

I was refering to ECN 191. No, it's not in the upgrade guide. I'd say the ECN was issued a year ago, and Avolites assumes that it's done in the console.

The ECN says the console freezes at 'memory test' - but then, it's worth a try, isn't it?

hello goodmorning (pfffff this is early)

I read the ECN 191 and even moved the dongle last night and tried over and over again (even without dongle) to boot V6 from USB device but no luck.

Strange thing about the ECN 191 is that it's for Tiger Touch (up to SN 572) and we have serial 45* so it shouldn't be for our console?

I tried this morning with a college to boot a Windows PC from one of the sticks and that's also NOT working so we believe there something wrong with the files that actually make an USB device really bootable.

# Can someone confirm that it's possible to test boot with another Windows PC because i took the console home last night and i won't be at home for later this day.

# Where can i find all ECN's for Tiger Touch? (can i subscribe to a mailing?)

I will try to make a bootable device now with RMprep or another tool so hopefully that will do the job :!:

YES

my stick is bootable and my laptop is showing "Welcome to the Tiger Touch" (upside down) screen now

I asume that it will now also work on the console it self.

RMPrep did the job!

I've made the stick bootable with this tool first:

If you don't already have it, 'download it here' , Extract the zip, install and run.

Change the filesystem to FAT32 and select 'boot as HDD'.
Leave the other options as default.
Make sure stick is plugged in, select it from the drop-down options at the top and select the [prepare] button at the bottom.
Click yes to the warning prompts and the process should complete.

after that run the "Tiger Touch v6.0 Recovery Creator" again and wait till it's completed and ejects the USB device.

plug the USB stick in the console now and boot 8)

I will try to install V6 tonight so this post will be updated later (hopefully with good news)
