How to trigger playbacks via midi?

We have the Avo Pearl 2000 and wanted to know if its connected to MIDI how do we fire playbacks via midi? Mainly I want to put an iPad on wifi and fire the playbacks from the iPad. Anyone done this?

All the MIDI codes are detailed in the manual. How you would go about sending/receiving over wifi and into the board is another matter.
