I don't think there's any issue with using an external touch screen.
As I understand the limitation is you can only have Titan on one screen. However you can, as mentioned above, run Vis as a separate application on the second display.

Hi, I said in the last post it would be my last but!
This time I am going to be positive.
You can add a second touch screen the laptop or PC and it works very well. The software comes alive with a touch screen, its so easy to use. You can however only run titan mobile on one screen, its on the touch screen or the laptop screen but not both.
I bought 2 new ELO 15'' touch screens for my Titan mobile thinking the same thing. I now have 1 for sale.

Sounds like a need a bigger touch screen then and completely ignore the laptop's own display... I was rather hoping to cheat slightly and use an iPad as a second monitor with group / palette buttons on it ;) but it's way too small for the full TITAN UI

Hi all,

The manual does include references to an external screen, these are currently incorrect and need to be addressed. It is not a feature which has been removed, the decision was made in development that the software would only include one screen output - but as I have said before, this is the only limitation of the console. You get with all the power and features of Titan but for a third of the price of a Tiger Touch!

If you do wish to use an external touch screen, there is nothing to stop you doing this - plug it in and set the Titan Mobile software to display on the other screen, as with any other windows program. As long as the screen drivers are supported by your PC then you shouldn't have any issues.

If you wish to use Visualiser when pre-programming with your Titan Mobile, then you can download it as a separate program from our website and run that on one screen, and Titan Mobile on a second screen - you don't have to worry about running it from the Titan software and jumping between screens all the time.

I'm very sorry to those people who bought extra screens under the impression you could output to 2 screens - I can assure you none of our sales team or distributors would deliberately mislead people!

Hi Emma,

Thanks for the formal response - it's disappointing to know this won't be a feature - particularly since a few people I know who had shown interest in Titan Mobile currently use MagicQ with MIMO USB displays for their palettes..

Looking forward to receiving my Titan Mobile this week sometime and will then no doubt retrofit my old MBP with a touch overlay - the touch system is so intuitive (having been using a Tiger Touch recently :))

Dont let this put you off, its a great little console, I will be using one for show at Her majesty’s in london next sunday. If you are thinking of buy one of these, V5 of the software adds many new features and by V6 all should be ok on the screen front.
Just a tip that may be usfull, you can make a Virtual dimmer for a smoke or effects machine by saving the effect (channel) you want to control to a range playback buttons next to each other each with increasing values. Make them non latching. When you run your finger over them or click with the mouse on them it gives you a fader effect but this depends on the number of levels you program to buttons. I find 5 levels works ok.
This is is always avalable as it not on the roller.
Hope this may help somone else. trying to tame smoke machines!

External screens/monitors on Mobile

Will it be posible to use an external screen by V6?
Or are you talking about a problem regarding how the current version is handling views on the (single) screen?

And what is the story about that an external Visualizer will shut down if you press the internal Viz-button on the Mobile?

Hi, just to say that there is no problem with the current version, that’s how it is, only one screen for now
I am told there should be an official announcement regarding Titan mobile and the screens issue.
I believe this is going to be a positive move and the aim I believe is for it to be in version 6.
If this happens it will indeed help those, who as I did planned using a laptop and an external touch screen.
It will also allow uses to real get the best from this great little unit.
I am looking forward to the version 5 release which is to be later this month give us pixel mapping.
We have just used the Mobile for a video shoot and at Her Majesties in London and it work amazingly well.
Great stuff Avolites
