Record groups onto faders / handles
I need to expalin this properly. So every day i hit a new venue with a slightly different plot, its time consuming to softpatch, its much easier to leave everything as 1 to 1 patch and update the groups, i then have linked faders which i update(using the groups) and this updates throughout the pages, what would be useful is if the contents of the groups were the actual contents of the the cues, so changing the contents of the group would change the contents of the cue / fader or is there another smart way of achieving this? The groups (groups nested in cues) then could also have a few different options e.g inhibitive (so you could top set channels / groups)

Intensity palletes
I tried recording intensity palettes yesterday to do exactly that, i masked to only I attribute and recorded the intensity palette to position directory, when i went to use the palette however i had a very strange outcome with all the rig going to full on, i was using 3 dimmers when programming the palette and these were selected from a group, however when i tried to apply the palette all fixtures went to full and would not release with a clear or exit press, its like it quick applied the palette or else the palette was treated as an ltp value rather than a htp value, can anyone explain if this is a bug or am i just screwing it up?
This happened because the palette was automatically set to 'shared'.
A shared palette will apply to all selected (or all if no selection & quick palette enabled) of the same fixture type. These are useful when extra fixtures of a particular type are patched.
The software tries to decide if a palette is 'shared' or 'normal' by looking at the values for a particular attribute for each fixture type in the programmer. If they are identical then it defaults to 'shared'. If they are different it defaults to 'normal'.
So when you set the three dimmers to the same value and went to store the palette it decided you wanted a shared palette. When you then recalled this without selecting fixtures it applied to all the 'dimmer' fixtures.
You can override this in the Store Palette menu by toggling the softkey from [Shared] to [Normal]. It will then only record for the fixtures intended (mask and record mode dependant). Recall can still be filtered by selection but it can only apply to the fixtures recorded. There is a magic wand graphic to denote the automatic selection.
Intensity palettes will reference correctly from cues, so by updating an intensity palette any cues containing that palette will follow.
You can clear intensities recalled from palette by selecting the fixtures first, then pressing clear.
