Hi,
When using a shape on a multi color rgb fixture, the first cells of the fixture are showing the same color.
I have two fixtures a CLS Atmosphere and CLS Mirror panels which shows both this behavior when using a for example RGB Rainbow shape. When I look in the shape file, for example cel1: Red en cel2: Red1 are configured with the same parameters.
If I change all first cells of all color shapes in the shape file, will I get in trouble with using the color shapes for other fixtures?
Or is there another best practice?
Kind regards,
Sybren

IMO there is a problem with the shapefile but in your case it is actually the personality files that are at fault.
Cell 1 should have the attribute ID's Red1, Green1, Blue1
Cell 2 should be Red2, Green2, Blue2
etc.
Attribute ID's Red, Green, Blue should only be used for single cell fixtures or for master channels in multi-cells.
Modifying the personalities will fix your problem and I'm confident is the correct solution here. I'll correct these in the library now that they have been brought to my attention but it might be a few days before they are uploaded.
However, in the current shapefile Red, Green, Blue are included in the multi-cell spreads. Where a multi-cell fixture has master RGB channels this will also be a problem.
For this reason in my file I have changed Rainbow RGB to only use Red, Green, Blue and all the multi-cells only use Red1, Red2 etc. This is how dimmer shapes have been treated and it is likely the RGB shapes have been accidentally overlooked.

No problem for the 'overlooked RGB shapes'. It is easy to change.
I have changed the attribute ID's of cell 1, but that didn't solve my problem. For last show, I changed the shapes file and that worked fine.
Did you test the change of the ID name?
And maybe you could give me an example of another fixture with multiple color cells which is working? I like to see the differences between the fixtures so I can change it myself.

Sorry, I forgot to say that the revised files were uploaded earlier this week. I overhauled all the JTE fixtures too. Not that they necessarily had significant problems but they should be good examples to look at for comparison if you needed more.
If you can test them (preferably with the factory shapes) that would be great. I'm confident it was correct to change the ID's but there's no substitute for testing against fixture.
Note that the library installer will replace with the factory shapes. If you want to keep your one then just copy it somewhere else first and then copy it back later. It might also copy it to the backup folder for you but I can't remember. Better to be safe.
