What about a Pearl-Expert/Titan Simulator or offline editor
to do some pre-programming at home.

The software runs on Windows XP but is dongle protected. You could email and ask if it's possible to get one.

Even if we sent you a link and you installed Titan, it still would not work - the software is dongle protected to prevent copies.

We are working on releasing a dongle-free offline editor :)

How do you manage pre Programming of a show? :(

What about other users,
Since I'm one of them I may answer this question.
If you do follow the ongoing developments made and published by Avolite, you may have noticed that they try to listen as much as possible to their beloved customers...
So I know that it is on their to-do list. Also knowing that it's a feature which a lot of people want to use therefor I assume it's quiet high on their to-do list.
Besides other highly demanded features are on the desks we use these days...
If ,like I mentioned before, you noticed that there is a new version of a Titan console ,named Titan mobile, coming out very soon... watch the details of this console... nice little thingy, no? perfect size, not to expensive (I hope), powerful,... for preprogramming... Besides don't forget that those Chinese b*st*rds (no offense) like to copy all good things to reproduce it for the cheap-ass market... So I perfectly understand why avolites doesn't give their precious software for free with a nice red tie around it... If you want my advice: be patient and let those people do their job... ;)

@avonewbie:

I can assure you that
- the AVO folks are very well aware of those requests (I have been there some weeks ago personally, and we were discussing some of the 'copy' problems, possible solutions etc.)
- of course, they need to priorize the work, and we shouldn't interfere. On the other hand, at least letting them know that some more people are craving for this...
- heck, and you're certainly not the only one (I even know some people for whom the missing offline thing is a blocker to otherwise go for Avo desks)

For the moment: stay tuned, probably there will be something.

And: I PM'd you :)

We know how important being able to program offline is, and before the release of V5 we are planning on making an offline, dongle free simulator available.

D4 simulator

Postby syrabell » 22 Jun 2011, 20:10

Any word on when or if the D4 simulator will be open for users in a non protected version. Long time since January and the it is coming post. Would like to learn to use the software without access to the console so that I could then request it on RFP's. I need to get my hands on the software without a console so that I can get familiar enough with it that I can specify it for shows.
