Need help with Expert

Postby joaqujo » 25 Mar 2010, 18:22

Hi guys!

Hope you can help me out with this one. I've been working with Pearls for quite some time now and no problems so far. The mystery started when I started working with an Expert; 1st time.

I'll try to explain as best I can. Let's say we programmed and recorded cues on Roller A 1-15, then recorded some more cues on Roller B 1-15.

While trying to run the cues on Roller A 1-15, as a means of verifying what we just recorded, we find that what we had just programmed had "disappeared", meaning the fixtures are pointed differently, with patterns that were not programmed in, different beam sizes, etc.

We do not know what happened. Is there something we missed in user settings?

We arranged the playback cues in such a way that we wanted to go to any cue from any other cue and still get what was programmed in that playback cue. However, that is not what is happening. The playback cues seem to be "mixing" with each other, taking on similar, not exact characteristics, of whatever playback cue we came from.

Thanks. Hope to hear from you soon.

My guess is that you recorded cues in 'by fixture' and not 'by channel' mode.

By fixture means all attributes of any selected fixture will be stored. By channel stores only values in the programmer.

Please read the manual and understand these two modes and the programmer.

It might also be useful to read about the OFF function, which can be used to remove unwanted attributes from cues when accidentally recorded.
