hi,
i am working on a tiger console, and i have some movement chases, and shapes placed on the playback faders, and also intensity.
i have some color, gobo, prism and position palettes. the question is, how do i release a pallette again? what i mean, is if i am running some movements, and i then want to use a position palette, lets say on the drummer, i have the position palette called drummer.
then i want to go back to the movement chase, but how do i do that?

Clearing (pressing clear button) should do the thing in case of chase.
In case of shape, you can't override playback with pallete - you can change only shape base with pallete. So - if you have running circle position shape in audience, recalling drummer pallete will move the shape base to drummer resulting in circle shape moving around drummer.

To add to that, if your intention is to have lots of flexibility then it is usually best to leave all position information out of the shape playback so that it will work around whichever position palette you select (often with size & speed on fader to allow manual fading in/out).
If you need a momentary solo where fixtures move to a position and stop then you can record a playback with the position information and a circle shape with zero size. This assumes you are recalling palettes in quick palette mode without selecting fixtures.

Program mode.
[Edit Times]
Press blue key for shape playback.
Press [mode] until =2
Enter
Mode 2 means 'fade by fader' (as opposed to no fade or timed fade).
Default is for shapes to fade both size and speed. To change this go to [Shape Gen]/[Playback Parameters]/select playback and toggle size/speed to timed (fadeable) or static using softkeys A/B respectively.
Because mode 2 fades values by fader it is vital you don't store anything (ie. position) other than the shape, otherwise they will be affected by your fader level. This means you must be recording by channel.
It's probably also useful to point out that you can of course use a timed fade (mode 1) on shapes too, should you wish.
