Personality file problem

I have a no-name Spot 575 moving head fixture and I am trying to write the Personality file for it. The problem is that the fixture is utilizes the dimmer channel for some macros. The dimmer channel values is as follows:
0-29 Shutter closed
30-39 Lamp on & reset
40-59 No function
60-69 Lamp off & reset
70-255 Dimmer intensity from 0% to 100%

How do I write this and still have the Dimmer part as HTP but preventing the fader to accidentally do a lamp on/off ?
And I suppose I must write the lamp on/off and reset as macros.

If this is for .r20 then you may be in trouble. I can't think of any way to do this. I believe in the past I have suggested the possibility of assigning user curve to this channel and then defining one to only encompass the dimming range. However, I have never confirmed whether this works or whether it subsequently prevents accessing the excluded values directly with macro.

In .d4 files this is possible.

Either way you could always request this through the online library and get some head scratching at HQ.

Ok, thanks for the quick reply.
The Condole I am working on is a Pearl 2008 and I think that it only supports .R20 files (correct me if I am wrong ).

I will try it with the user curve, but is there no other way to do it? Can I define the Dimmer as a shutter or a LTP channel?

Yes, that's .r20.

You can define it on another attribute bank as HTP or LTP. Both would prevent use of the fixture handle fader which might help avoid accidental values. Using LTP is never ideal for intensity channels though.

How do I set a user cimmer curve?
Can I do that in the personallity file or must I make A .CSV file for this?

The curve itself is not set in the personality file since it is global. This should be explained in the manual. Within the personality you then set which curve applies to which attribute.
