New Products

Postby SL » 06 Sep 2009, 22:42

Hi,

I just saw on the site from Plaza Show, that there will be new products;

Tiger Touch
A powerful touch screen console which leverages on the power and functionality of the Diamond 4 and the new 'TITAN OS'.

Expert Touch
A touch screen programming wing for the Pearl Expert complete with macros and executor buttons and 3 more encoder wheels.

I have some questions;

The Tiger Touch, is that a Pearl Tiger, but with a touchscreen and Titan? Or is it completly different? We`ve just bought a tiger, is it possible to upgrade?

Expert Touch wing; With that wing, is it possible to use more fixtures then the 240 you can now? Or is it just an programwing? I would like it when you can use more then 240, because it isn`t that much, when you use LED, conventional and moving lights.

The Tiger Touch is a new console and it is not possible to upgrade and existing Tiger console.

The expert touch wing is purely to give you more controls to edit your show. It does not extend the capabilities of the desk as far as more fixtures.

Ok, thank you.

But with the expert, is it then possible to have more controls over your shapes, chases, etc?

I had never heard of the term, but I now understand. In which case I do not know.

We had the option of using a multi-touch screen but decided against it. The reason being that after some quite extensive testing and research we did not believe that the multi-touch screens where reliable enough to be used in our consoles. I hope that as touch screen technology develops a multi-touch screen will become available which is reliable enough for us to use.

With a classic Pearl, we have 240 Fixtures/dimmer.

Now with the Titan software, how many fixtures can be patch on the console ?

Thanks
