Control WLED With TitanGo via Artnet

Postby Jonathan Simon » Yesterday, 12:26

Hello everyone,

I have an Avolites Editor Key and use the Titan Go software. The goal is to control WLED (ESP32) via Art-Net from Titan.

My setup:

Titan Go + Editor Key

DMX settings:

Art-Net set to broadcast

Universe 1 → Line 1

Fixture: Generic RGBW

Network: standard LAN, everything in the same subnet

Issue:
I am unable to get Art-Net from Titan into the network.
I can't see any data in the WLED interface or with an Art-Net monitor.

To double-check, I used the Art-Net module from Bitfocus Companion – it works immediately, and WLED responds correctly. So the network, IP address, and universe assignment should be correct.

Hence my questions:

Are there any restrictions on Art-Net output with Titan Go + Editor Key?

Does Art-Net or the DMX output need to be activated somewhere else?

Is Art-Net only sent when an active playback/fader is running?

Are there any known stumbling blocks with broadcast vs. unicast in Titan Go?

Maybe I'm overlooking something obvious.
Thanks in advance for your help and experience reports!

It sounds like you have covered all the major points. However:
  • In Titan go to System mode, DMX-Settings. Left, at the Art-Net module, click on the little cog, and check that Art-Net is activated ('DMX Output' enabled) and assigned to the correct network interface
  • you mentioned 'standard network', I suppose this is wired. If you are using WiFi then you defo need to enable Art-Net as described above as this is disabled over WiFi by default
  • it is worth to check the firewall again. As a starting point you may disable it altogether - and if this fixes your issue then adjust the firewall by setting the rules
