Ok - help.
I’ve got the macro, made my playback, and copied the macro to a playback window…. But I’m stuck on the part that says “create a trigger that fires the macro”.
I want to fire this macro from a static playback on my TM.

Ah okay - this part stems from the original question with a 'MIDI button'.
In order to make this from a static playback instead of from a trigger simply move the macro from the palybacks window to the static playback button.

Yeah, tried that, still no worky. It’s neither changing my Avolites bpm1 or sending out the dmx of the playback 901.

I'll check this later. Maybe you can use the log collector and send me the logfiles? Sometimes they reveal the issue...

My bad - I suggested to copy the macro to a handle, but this breaks this macro. You need to MOVE it to the button where you want it, then it works.
(I updated the Usage hints in my previous post).
