Art-Net modules in Simulators

Postby Steve_Rey » 21 Jun 2006, 20:07

I don't understand why, when setting DMX outputs, the only module showed is the ACDI Ethernet: Broadcast. For pearl 2004 simulator, it could be that other modules (eDMX, EZDMX and ArtNet) have not been implemented yet but for Diamond 4 they should be, or they aren't?

Simply I can't understand why the simulator show me only the ACDI module.

An other question: On Diamond4 (and probably also on Pearl 2004) simulator the dongle is maybe required for using usb controls or setting dmx outputs, but what could I do now as the key is no longer sold?

Thanks.

The simulator versions of software only support ACDI output since if the other modules were available, we'd be giving away software that you could use to run your show for free!

If you look at your taskbar, the Avolites DMX/USB program will have a stop symbol over the icon signifying that it's not unlocked, and until this is done you won't be able to use the ArtNet, eDMX or EzDMX modules.

For details about how to unlock, please get in touch with a member of our sales team or your local distributor.
