Using Avolites Arena as a LED screen controller

Postby Peri_95 » 03 Apr 2017, 21:45

Hello community,

I have a question. Is Avolites Arena capable of controlling lighting and video(led screens) simultaneously so that I can have control of everything in one place(similar to Sapphire Touch)?

Best regards,

I don't see why not. Media servers such as Ai provide a way to manipulate video content via lighting consoles and are patched and controlled in the same way as other fixtures. Normally media servers will be connected via Art-Net.

Hello niclights,

Ok, we will try to connect it to the media server over artnet when we buy the console and will try to find the alternative cause we don't have the Ai media server from Avolites. I was only asking if it's possible to have list of the visualisations and to use, edit, programm them into the show together with the lighting (I am saying that in case that you didn't understand what I've meant). Just like as it seems to me in the picture of the left screen of the Sapphire touch on the official web page:

Anyways, thank you for the answer and sorry if my question seem a little beginner-like. I've never worked on the Titan console. Only on the pc simulation :)

On the left screen of the main picture of the Sapphire on the webpage is the pixel mapper of Titan

Just in case there is any confusion, the pixel mapper part that Kade mentions is on the left-hand side of the left screen in that image (red triangle). The right-hand side shows thumbnails of content from a media server.

Like most of the media servers available, Ai is extremely powerful but if you don't need all the features these things offer then I highly recommend Screen Monkey which is more than capable for the majority of applications.
