Profile attributes and how to import new profile.

Postby Regnar » 30 Mar 2017, 09:02

Hello

We got the Avo sapphire touch and now we bought some new movinglight and we also got a "profile" for the light. The attributes for this profile is .R20 So my question is how do we "import" this profile to the fixturelibery?

.R20 personality files are for the 'Classic' software and are not compatible with Titan. There is a function in the Personality Builder software to import them as a basis for editing and creating Titan personalities but unfortunately it appears this is broken in the current version. However, if you were supplied with an .R20 file it is almost certainly not an official Avolites personality and, in my experience, these often have many errors and may not be compatible anyway.

Generally it is easier, better and faster to just create a new personality in Personality Builder. Alternatively you can request new personalities via the form here. When doing so please include (or provide direct links to) documentation containing full DMX mapping information. Note that when attaching documents only one .pdf or .zip file is permitted per request (maximum size 3MB). There is a good chance there may be something suitable already in the library.

On the Sapphire Touch you can access windows Explorer from the Tools menu. Copy the file to D:\Personalities and then restart the software. When patching it will appear with '(User)' appended to the fixture name.
