Classic Software: Recording Palettes to Chase?

Postby 2113 » 25 Oct 2016, 05:49

I feel like I have to be forgetting something here that I should know, but I searched the forums and didn't find a direct answer.

I'm using the Classic 2008 software. I have a few positions palettes saved, I wanted to create a chase using some of the position palettes but when I do nothing plays back in the chase. If I manually position my fixtures then the chase works, so I know it has to do with the values being loaded into the programmer or not. However, I know that other chases or memories aren't loaded into the programmer, but I was under the impression that palettes were loaded into the programmer so that you could use them to build your looks/chases.

My Palettes are just one attribute (pan/tilt or color) and I'm using Palette pages and Quick Palettes, and the chase in unlinked so that I can step through it with the flash button of the playback fader. When I record the chase I have the fixtures affected by the palette selected.

If someone could knock some sense into me so that I can get back on track I would really appreciate it.

Nevermind, I'm stupid. I just wasn't selecting the attribute that I wanted to save into the chase from the palette (in this case pan/tilt). When I select the attribute the chase works properly.
