Titan Mobile and Preset Pallettes

Postby stikman » 17 Jun 2011, 18:24

Just got my new Titan Mobile and am trying to figure out how to apply preset palettes. Manual very briefly mentions how to apply preset palettes but for the life of me cant figure out actually how to do it. I am not seeing it in any of the menus and the manual has very little info.

Any ideas?

So far everything else seems to be working as expected.

I might be misunderstanding you, but in v4.x you enable them before patching in the Patch menu by toggling softkey F.

After patching your fixtures any available palettes should appear in the relevant palette window (ie. colours in colour, positions in position etc.) on page 1. They will also appear in the palettes & groups compatibility view although these locations are really for the Expert.

Auto (preset) palettes must be defined in the fixture personality file for them to work. Despite best efforts there may be some that don't at the moment.

I have a show with a considerable amount of fixtures. Do you know if there is anyway to retrieve the preset papers without wiping the dmx and manually reentering them?

You could perhaps patch the fixtures in a new show and then import data from the original show. But personally I would just record some palettes.
