Licence

Postby watty » 27 Jul 2016, 15:33

If Avolites decides to ask me to licence the software when it has been running fine, I assume it is because it thinks the machine it is running on is not the set-up that it originally thought it was on!!!!

This has happened a few times now with Windows 10. I have to connect to the Avo site and re-licence. Can I store the licence info on the machine and re-import if this happens again? I think I have tried this and it does not recognise the file but I may be wrong. If the software thinks the machine has changed - do I have to log into Avolites to fix it? If I have no internet connection at the time what am I to do?

a license file can be reused on the same machine as many times as you want, so you can just save the file.
As to why it keeps asking for the license i have no clue

I think there are three issues here.

Number one - For some reason Titan one randomly (3 times in the last couple of months) thinks my software is not licenced and asks me to log in and request a licence.

Number two - If this occurs because Windows has tried to automatically carry out updates (the PC is not connected to the internet) and has somehow changed the signature of the PC, does Titan one now think it is on a new PC. Last time it happened I noticed that windows was trying to update virus software even though it was not connected to the net and that is when Titan locked up, and after re-starting, asked me to licence the software.

Number three - If Titan one thinks it is on a different machine because windows changed some settings, will an original licence file still work???

Well it can never hurt to save the file and try it yourself net time it happens.
I personaly don't think its a windows update issue.
Trie contacting avo support by mail or by phone to get assistance on your problem, i don't think the forum can help you out in this case
