Playback fader intensity
I've got a strange problem at the moment with my pearl expert. Scenario: Set the desired preset faders to 100% then record the desired scene to the playbacks. Exit, clear, return to run. Push the playback faders back to 100% but they only register @ 71. Press the swop or flash keys and they go to 100% but just not on the faders. Doesn't matter which way I record them either stage/fixture/channel etc it always only goes upto 71. I have no idea if I have done something or if someone else has been messing around with the desk settings but its starting to annoy me. Haven't tried a full wipe and repatch as I'm about to do a show but if all else fails will give it a go afterwards. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Luke
Re: Playback fader intensity
Sounds like the preset master is lowered or faulty.
Re: Playback fader intensity
I thought that too, about it being lower incase I had caught it by accident but its at full too. If I cant fix it with a wipe/repatch looks like I may have to replace it then
Re: Playback fader intensity
Try pressing [Release] then selecting softkey B [Release All Masters].
Re: Playback fader intensity
Just by way of a correction I should have said 'Playback Master', rather than 'Preset Master'.
If Gregory's suggestion doesn't work you can test the fader in Usb Console (from the Tools menu).
If the fader is faulty you should be able to work around it by patching a playback master elsewhere. While this option isn't available in the Expert you could open your show in the Titan Simulator as a Tiger Touch (or pretty much any console other then the Pearl Expert), then hit Record/[Create Master]/[Playback Master] and select a destination handle - I would suggest one of the main playback faders initially. Then save/load back into the Expert and move the master somewhere more appropriate (ie. one of the preset faders). Might get you out of trouble.

Re: Playback fader intensity
Thanks for the tip Gregory that seems to have done the trick, any ideas why I might have done this so I can try to stop it happening again.
Re: Playback fader intensity
As Nic suggested you can check the physical fader by opening USB Expert Console from Tools > Control Panel. With that open move the Playback Master fader (top left of the console) up and down and check that it shows values between 0 at the bottom and 255 at the top.
