I'm trying to decide on whether to get the Quartz or the Tiger Touch 2.
Can someone please give me the pros and cons of each one?
From the specs, it looks like the TT2 has extra faders, but looks like the Quartz has more programmable hard buttons, along with audio input for sound to light.
Usage will be mainly for mobile disco/nightclub work, but also with the occasional stage show.
I'm thinking the Quartz with an occasional use of a mobile fader wing may be the way forward and costs roughly the same.

Re: Quartz vs Tiger Touch 2
the tiger touch 2 has a fader wing with displays, the fader wing for the quartz doesnt have the displays which is pretty anoying when switching pages.
The tt2 also has a SMPTE timecode connection.
But like you said i personaly find the quartz sound to light function realy handy.
The tt2 has a larger touchscreen but the angled screen of the quartz is beter when your outside in the sun (my opinnion)
The main faders on the tt2 are also bigger then the faders of the quartz.
The tt2 also has 2 network ports at the back while the quartz only has one.
I think i covered all the differences
this all said, prefer the tt2 but when your planning on touring the quartz is more compact.

Re: Quartz vs Tiger Touch 2
Cheers.
There's a fader wing that has LCD displays above each fader... As opposed to the mobile fader wing which doesn't. I presume both work with the Quartz?
Also, the Quartz seems to have 20 programmable buttons, are these pageable?

only the mobile fader wing (whitout the displays) works on the quartz, the 20 buttons are pagable thru standard build in macro's
Re: Quartz vs Tiger Touch 2
In my opinion the Quartz is just a Titan Mobile with a build in touchscreen.
A screen wich is smaller then the TT2.
TT2 has got 10 extra playback faders, a build in UPS.

Re: Quartz vs Tiger Touch 2
TT2 does NOT have a built in UPS - Avo hasn't been able to find a suitable supplier of parts for one, so the TT2 we bought a year ago STILL does not have the built in UPS it was advertised to have.

Re: Quartz vs Tiger Touch 2
Well, Avolites managed to find another solution, essentially they now build their own UPS. They are working flawlessly, and have been shipping since beginning of this year. Hence, any current purchase will come with the UPS fitted, and any Tiger Touch II purchased and shipped without the UPS will get the UPS at no cost. Please be in touch with your distributor.

Good to know, thanks! Time to get in touch with our distributor here in the US and finally get this sorted out.

Cheers for the replies guys.
I've decided on the Quartz and just placed an order.
The smaller size (and obvious cost) won it over for me.
Look forward to using it and being part of your avolites user team.
