network device for remote

Postby cfuller » 22 Dec 2015, 17:16

I've tried to make a connection between the current remote control app for iOS and an Arena console. I've gotten nowhere using either a WiFi access point made by Buffalo nor can I make a connection via an AP from Ubiquiti. By using a NetGear WiFi router (with the routing and DHCP functions turned off) I am successful at making a connection. In all 3 cases I am utilizing static IPs.

Are there specific ports that need to be open? Any insight as to the inability to make a connection through the access points?

Thanks...

What are the models of these devices?

There should not be any firewalls involved so port numbers are not applicable.
