Titan Mobile/TitanOne - Timecode, Chases, and Other Fun Things

Postby Bwatt » 15 Dec 2015, 18:39

Howdy all,

I've been using the Avolites Titan software/consoles for about a year and a half now with my company, Break the Floor based out of Los Angeles. I came from a live stage play lighting background and most of my work has been on ETC Ions and Expresses, so the Titan framework is a LOT more complex and when working with intelligent fixtures is just a HELL OF A LOT MORE FUN.

So I come to you, the Avolites community, with a bit of a quandry.

As part of my work, we host a weekend long dance convention/competition for children ages 8-18 in different cities across America. At the beginning of every weekend we have an opening show which introduces the staff and such-n-such. In this opening show, there is a video.

THE LONG AND SHORT:

I have a 3-ish minute long video that I'm programming a single, 3-minute long chase, to go along with. I want to know if there's a way to use Timecode to build a more precise cue/cuestack/chase for this event. I would love to share my current info with interested parties. I spent a solid 8 hrs building this 3-minute thing and really just want it to be as perfectly timed as possible. Any suggestions, artistic and technical, are appreciated.

Many thanks good sirs and madams. Have a good week!!

You can use MTC for cuelists. For external source this requires a hardware MIDI port so is not possible on TitanOne but is fine for Titan Mobile.
