Diffrent high on truss / Stage

Postby Nicke Löfgren » 25 Aug 2015, 08:35

If I make a cue with my MH, say all targeted at the middle and the lead !! Truss height 6m

When I get to the next place, it is height only 4m. This will prevent any of my MH hit the middle and the lead !!

Is it just one cue is the shit easy! It's just changing!

But let's say I have 120 cues that drop "position" when the height is lowered 2m

Now to the question ?? Is there a simple way to change all cue together ??

Type that you have a home position which is set at 6m height and then when you have 4m height change only home location

Thanks :D

This is what palettes were originally designed for. In your example you need to store the position as a palette. Then select fixtures, apply palette and record cue(s). The cue(s) will now reference the palette instead of absolute values in the cues. Update (or merge over) palette will update all referenced cues. A well structured show will make heavy use of palettes, not only for differences in things like trim height but to help when exchanging fixtures.
