virtual dimmer bug?

Postby sunlightevent » 06 Jun 2015, 06:30

Hello

Today I patched some 3channel LedPar with Generic RGB+vitual dimmer, everything worked fine as usual . but I tried to change the dimmer curve ( bound ,triangle etc...) no result , when I went back to linear , impossible to dim fixtures smoothly , impossible to light them off completly and when I flashed cues ( whith only dimmer on it) the leds stays at full

does those dimmer curves not working with virtual dimmer? a Bug?

PS , brand new Quartz (awesome Yeah) with R9 installed

thanks for your reply

Yes. Definitely looks like a bug to me. Curves are not applying correctly to virtual dimmers at a fixture level and, wherever set (even linear), there also seems to be a problem in response time - ie. flash = gets stuck on, fade down quickly = stuck part on, fade down very slowly = works correctly.

I will enter into the system.

In the meantime a possible workaround is to set the curve on the colour mix components rather than the virtual dimmer. ie. don't change the dimmer but set RGB to triangle or bounce etc.
