Chase from Positions

Postby qubazo » 29 May 2015, 16:36

Hi,

I'm struggling to create a chase out of ealier prepared positions.

All positions are created from scratch by myself. Here's what I'm doing:
- record, record mode channel (but fixture doesn't work either), create chase
- swop button above one of the faders
- recall position 1
- swop
- recall postion 2
- swop
etc.
- exit

When I run the chase it doesn't do anything, probably because the position values weren't entered into the programmer by recalling the positions from the palletes. If I do the same but then slightly modify the PAN/TILT (by 0,1%) everything works perfectly fine.

What am I doing wrong?

Are you selecting fixtures before you recall the palettes? There is a function called Quick Palette which will recall a palette when there are no fixtures selected, this will not put the values in the programmer so will not be included in cues or chases when you record. An alternative method may be to use the Quick Build record mode; in this mode select each palette you want to use in turn and the software will automatically create a chase step for each one.
