AFAIK Avo are on a break now.

If you need this before New Year you might need to write it yourself. It isn't very difficult - really you just need to make a decision as to which channels are HTP, which are LTP and which attributes to assign them to. Note that patching RGB to CMY means you can still use the colour shapes.

Sometimes it makes sense to keep functions out of a personality and patch them separately as dimmers. Depends on how you want to operate.

patch some generic RGB fixtures, and patch the other 2 channels as seperate dimmers. might not be the best way, but it'll allow you to store your palletes.
the generic RGB profile is over here: http://www.avolitesdownload.com/Persona ... efault.asp

good luck

What console? As I just learned under another topic.. you will not be able to have the colors on palettes and the dimmer controlled separately. Because the fixtures don't have an overall brightness channel, just three channels for R, G, B... Unless you have a Diamond 4...

It's a little frustrating. You can do anything you want if you program it in advance but you cannot control brightness and color on different playbacks.

I have an Azure 2000 too.

I will try to make a personality for you. But I can't test it.
The Eurolite web site says that the fixtures have 6 channels, not 5.
But they don't have the manual or anything for download.

I can write you a personality for the channels you listed, but can you check to see if you missed a channel?

Here you go. I found the manual online and there is no 6th channel.

There are two personalities. The first patches the R G B channels as HTP, the second patches them as LTP.

The built in modes and sound setting are on the "Speed" button and are LTP.

I took the color palette from the Color Kinetics personality.. it might not be exact but it should be close.

Please post here and tell me if it worked out. If so then Avolites can take these files for the library.

Deadly,
Works fine apart from when you "locate" fixture all channels go to 100% this sends the units into sound mode :!: . If the personality could be altered to have all channels go to 0% when locate fixture.
Cheers anyway it'll work fine and get me out of a hole. :D

Oops. I changed them so that the control channels go to zero and the R, G, and B channels go to full, which is more like what Locate Fixture should do.

Enjoy...

PS: Please post back and let us know how things go with the fixtures. They're temptingly cheap!

Right the plan is,

4 x white tubes made from bike wheels with flame retardant white gause, bike wheel with G-clamp bolted to the axal ( pre made flying point) velcro around where the tube should be, the white gause with a hang of 5m hangs from the velcro. 4 x LED units, 2 top and 2 on the desk all inside the tube.

A 4m x 4m rear projection screen hung in a diamond shape with 2 LED units on the back of each side, hanging on the upstage truss, there will be a projector up there somewhere for visuals.

8 Mac 250 kryptons and 2 GLP ypoc colours will be on moving duitys.

The other 16 units will be scattered around the venue on a slow cross fade.

All controled via the trusty Azure.

Rigged the show today,
The locate fixture would work better if all channels went to "0",
led open white is not a nice colour,
tis a bit of a pain having to role all the colours out to get black.
But at 70 euros each cheep and nasty is the name of the game, the whole LX production cost me only 3K and there is 15 shows in the one spot    + PD's :!:

Yea, but that is what "Locate Fixture" is supposed to do, is make the fixture go "open white". Like all the others personalities do. It's too bad that there isn't a dedicated button for blacking out a fixture also. Or, to be able to have a momentary action on the locate button.

You can always program a palette button to do it, which is the right way to do it.. but yea it's much more of a pain, having to switch modes, maybe having to switch pages. So anyway after the new year I will make a copy of the personality for you that has them go to 0 for locate fixture. It's an easy change. But I'll send the current one to Avolites.
