locking on start up

Hi,

I work in a event centre, and there a few people allowed to be programing on the avolites.
But the problem is there also are en few who think they can program but always if they went programming without one of the guys who understand we need to recall an back up file... and there is no way to tell these people they are not allowed.
Getting the key off the console also doesn't help, they have there own one.
I've read the user manual and can't find any way to password protect the desk on start up. Just like windows of mac start up screen.

Is there an way to do this? Or is just the only way back up on an external usb drive and always recall this backup?
