Button Labeling

Postby Mark McEwan » 02 Feb 2015, 14:38

Hi

We have an older, black, pearl expert (floppy drive and everything). I'm aware that buttons are changing functions with updates, Is there a current layout map available for the desk, It's becoming slightly frustrating at times guessing buttons, prime examples being, And, Next, Through etc, which are arrow keys currently.

Thanks
Mark

Note that some of the buttons are different depending if you are using an Expert Pro or not. The Virtual Panel shows the Pro layout, but actually most of the buttons on the non-pro have not changed. As far as I can remember the only changes have been cursor keys and [Next Time] = [Time]. In most cases where there are missing buttons the functions can be accessed in alternative ways - for example the [Release] functions are in the [Off] menu.

However, whether the laminate is correct or not still depends on how old the console is, certainly those that pre-date Titan will be in line with Classic instead.

On a black Pearl Expert running Titan the grey buttons from left to right across the top of the keypad are:

[Fixture] [Palette] [Include] [Group]

The blue function keys from top to bottom are:

[Record Cue]
[Record Chase/List]
[Macro]
[Copy/Move]
[Record Palette]
[Delete]
[Fan]
[Unfold]
[Off]
[Patch]
[Edit (palette)]
[Disk]

The remainder are as shown in the Virtual Panel.

Cheers nic, they are correct. We have a magnetic strip over the Attribute buttons replacing the original classic attributes with the correct titan labels with the new. Its just the rest to sort now :). Time for the labelling machine
