SWOP BUTTONS don´t work! Please help urgently!!!

Postby soilworker » 19 Nov 2005, 10:43

Hi!

I am using a Pearl2000 with 2004v1.2 Software.

It happend that the whole Preset SWOP buttons (1-30) suddenly don´t react anymore? But the Preset ADDS are ok!
The whole row doesn´t work! Now I can´t choose any fixtures and I´m not able to program a show! Luckily I´ve programmed a group so i can recall them with the numeric keypad, but then I have all of my fixtures selected!
The diagnostic screens shows no reactions for SWOP 1-30!

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Bugger.

I'm unsure of the problem. It is unlikely to be software because of the diagnositics. Since it is all 30 buttons I think it must be related to the analogue board or it's ribbon connects to the mainboard. But this is out of my depth. I suggest calling 24hr support if you can.

As a workaround I think you could use [channel] menu. This is not something I ever use, but should allow selection & manipulation via keypad.

Thanks for the advise.
It happened that when I opened the desk and checked the connectors it suddenly worked but only for a short period. Then I had the same problem again!
Maybe there is a losse contact!
I don´t know

This is probably an faulty chip on the analogue board. You might want to try swapping some of the chips around to see if the problem moves. Then you can tell whether it is a faulty chip.

If you are unsure about this then it would prbably be a good idea to give us a ring.
