We're always learning!

You can create the recovery sticks using any standard PC. No need to use the console for this. Generally it is recommended to avoid large sticks - people have reported problems (not unique to Avo). 4GB seems good. Not sure about testing. Gregory might have some ideas.

The stick will need to be at least 2.5GB in size, so a 4GB stick would be good. I would test by plugging it into the console and allowing it to boot up. Check that you can get at least as far as the Licence Agreement screen (it is the second screen), it won't make any changes to your console until you click Install.

Alright, I can do that. Well I don't have a 4GB stick, but those can't be all too expensive anymore these days :)
Thank you both for your help!

Since in a way I am still dealing with this, I'll just use my old topic to ask this, hope that's ok!

So I already posted that there's been some lagging, and health check says that it's low on disk space, (which is true C: has 1 GB left, whereas D: has 46GB left).

But do any of you know what the console will do when I click "fix"? I really don't feel like spending another day fixing an error such as "Dongle not found". So I'd like to know what I am up to, it says it will take 2 hours.. Perhaps some partitioning?

Will I need a recovery stick and all that (still dont have one, dont have a 4GB stick, seems hard to find these days)

It just tells you to run a recovery stick but it is still a manual process with you having to follow the recovery steps. The actually process of pressing fix will do nothing for this particular option.
