Hi,
Is there a way of linking pallets, not just creating copies?
I am using the Expert and want to have a selection of pallets on the grey buttons but also on the wing.
Ideally these would be linked so I have both options for both operating styles.
Thanks,
Tim

Re: Link Pallets
Not as such, but you could open the palettes & groups workspace which mimics the Expert preset palette handles.
Re: Link Pallets
So what happens if I start programming the show using the groups and palettes workspace...and then for some reason I don't have the screen any more....
Do I have to recall all the palettes by number, which I obviously don't remember, or do i need to make them again?
PS this is an extreme situation but it happened/happens

Re: Link Pallets
The Groups & Palettes workspace that I mentioned is a mirror of the (grey) preset handles on an Expert. For example, if you recorded a palette on fixture page 0, handle 1 it will also appear in the Groups & Palettes workspace in the first handle slot on page 1(technically should be zero but the workspace pages run from 1). There is also a Fixtures and Playbacks workspace that mirrors the blue keys. The main function of these workspaces is for when moving from an Expert to another console in the Titan range which does not have the presets and provides one way to access and reassign them to other handles (there is a 'move to workspace' context menu option that does this automatically). However, there is nothing stopping you operating directly from them.
So, if there was no screen the preset handles still provide the same functions.
It is also possible to access and (re)assign anything in the current show via the show library. If you were being a very naughty boy and didn't have a screen this is available on the Expert LCD from Disk/[Show Library].

Re: Link Pallets
Thank you for the reply,
Could this be a feature request? Sometimes it is nice to have the fixtures and pallets on real buttons / faders and other times it is nice to have the versatility of the wing.
With fixtures this isn't an issue as I can create groups on the wing with single fixtures in them.
With pallets I end making a copy on both, which is fine but if I need to update them, I have to do redo both.
On the Pre-Titan software there used to be the concept of copying chases or photocopying. One was a copy which wasn't linked and could be changed independently while the other meant any changes to the original updated all the copies. Maybe this type of thing could be implemented for Pallets? Either copy or linked...
Thanks,
Tim

Re: Link Pallets
Handles in multiple locations is something that is a popular feature request so hopefully it will be possible to implement in a future version.
