I am currently running a Pearl Expert v. 7 and attempting to use a samsung galaxy phone as a remote. I am able to ping my mobile device from the console, but when I try to connect from my mobile to create my user name, it is unable to find the page (typing the network's IP address into my phone's internet browser; 192.168.1.1/Remote).
Anyone else have this issue and know how to solve it?

Re: V7 Remote Not Connecting
the remote in v7 is a app available from the google play store for andriod or apple appstore for ios
Re: V7 Remote Not Connecting
I have the app on the phone, but it will not see the console to join until I create a user name, at least according to the setup instructions I've seen. I can't create that user name, as my phone does not connect to the network via the address (192.168.1.1/remote), even though I am able to successfully ping the phone from the console
EDIT:
I have tried setting it up through my ipod, and everything works fine. Issue is either with my phone or the android app

Re: V7 Remote Not Connecting
There is no need to set a user name. This might be a legacy of the original web browser remote which you seem to be trying to use.
Any v7 devices on the same network should appear in the remote app connection page. Click on the device to load the show and control remotely. If it is working this way on the IOS device but not Android then check the Android device settings, in particular that it is connected to the same access point as the console and that they are all on the same subnet. I originally tested using a Samsung Galaxy tablet and did not have any issues connecting.
