Hi I'm struggling to insert a cue in a cue list on Titan 6.1. I can insert the cue using unfold and insert step. The cue gets inserted and all seems fine. However when I come to play back my cue list the inserted cue remains up during the following cues. Is there something I'm missing when I play back my list?
Example: (using generic dimmers)
Cue 1- DSL spot
Cue2- DSR spot
I then insert Cue 1.5 DSC Spot.
When I play back this list this is what comes up-
Cue 1- DSL spot
Cue1.5- Adds DSC Spot and doesn't take out DSL Spot.
Cue 2- Fades out DSL spot and fades in DSR Spot leaving DSC Spot on as well.
When I then unfold the list again and test each cue on the handles they are as they should be.
Thanks.

Re: Inserting Cues
Cue lists in Titan track information in one cue to the next by default. This means that a fixture will remain on until it is explicitly set to be off again in a subsequent cue. There are number of options to change this behaviour, in the playback view you can change the tracking behaviour of each cue individually, in your case you can change cue 1.5 to "Cue Only" so that information is not tracked from that cue to those following. Descriptions for the options are in the manuals, for example in the Tiger Touch manual it is in section 9.6.9 on page 155. Alternatively you can completely disable tracking functionality in a cue list in Playback Options.

Thanks Gregory,
That's done it perfectly. I knew there would be a feature that I needed to disable I just didn't know which one.
Thanks again,

Re: Inserting Cues
is there a way in Titan to globally turn Tracking Off? So I don't have to do make the change in every cue list I make?
Re: Inserting Cues
Sorry, there is no global setting, only on each cuelist.
Re: Inserting Cues
Thanks gregory.. may I ask another tracking related question.. am I correct in that if I do not turn Tracking On or Off (depending on my preference) BEFORE recording a cue list, that it affects how all the cues are saved in the cue list? so essentially if I prefer Tracking Off, and record 10 cues in a cue list.. then turn Tracking Off in that cue list AFTER recording them, if I play them back they will play as if Tracking was On?
Re: Inserting Cues
All the required information for the cues is stored regardless of the tracking setting when they are recorded so you can enable or disable tracking at any point after creating them. In other words changing the tracking setting in Playback Options will apply to any cues already recorded and any future cues.
Re: Inserting Cues
I've discovered a bug then.. If I record 2 Cue lists side by side, one with Tracking On, one with Tracking Off BEFORE putting any cues inside of them...
then I proceed to put these cues in both cue lists above:
Cue 1 position 1,color 1
Cue 2 position 2,color 2
Cue 3 position 3,color 3
The one with tracking on will keep the intensity up thru all 3 cues
The one with tracking off will keep intensity up in cue 1, but will fade out (and remain black) in cues 2 and cues 3.
If I turn tracking ON in the cue list in which it was originally turned off, Cues 2 and 3 will still fade to black (although they will respect position & color info)...
maybe this is occurring because I am locating the moving heads, coloring and positioning them as cue 1, then adjusting them for cues 2 and 3 without touching intensity... however, it still recorded differently when I had the cue list previously set to tracking On/Off...
[[EDIT]] yes, this occurs if one does not "change" the intensity value on top of Locating.. if I bump the intensity to make it a "change" it will let me switch Tracking On/Off AFTER recording the cue list.. I have also discovered if I bump the intensity after locating, it shows my Intensity highlighted in the blue circle while I record the 3 cues, but it will only place the intensity value in Cue 1 for use in "tracking off".. so if I want Tracking Off, i have to bump the intensity for EVERY cue I make, even if consecutive minor adjustments... is this correct? I thought if I record in Fixture or Stage mode it should record how it appears live?

Re: Inserting Cues
There appears to be a bug in 6.1 where consecutive intensity cues do not record in cuelists where tracking is turned off. This issue is related to cuelists and the tracking setting and so will occur regardless of record mode (or whether value originates from locate etc.).
As far as I can determine everything works correctly if cues are recorded while tracking is turned on. Therefore I suggest keeping tracking turned on when adding new cues to any cuelist as a workaround.
This will be fixed in version 7.0.
