Auto-loading Pixel Maps
I don't think this works. I've successfully auto-loaded cues with colors, shapes and positions by using a master cue stack, but auto-loading a cue with a pixel map (and nothing else) doesn't seem to work. I guess a macro would be a work around? Or, is there a special setting for pixel maps?

Re: Auto-loading Pixel Maps
What exactly do you mean with 'a cue with a pixel map (and nothing else)'?
Essentially, pixelmapper effects are effects applied to a group of fixtures, where the group itself holds the position of the fixtures (the map's layout), and the effect is the piece of visual. So, what would you wish the cue should contain? Sorry for my dumbness.

Re: Auto-loading Pixel Maps
Assuming by 'pixel map' you mean a playback containing an effect then it works fine for me. All auto-load does is fire the relevant playback(s) and so it really doesn't matter what the playback is. If the effect playback definitely works ok on its own then all I can suggest is to double-check the correct one is set to auto-load and that the cue-list is at full intensity if it is an intensity effect. You should be able to see the originating effect playback highlight as active when it is autoloaded.

Re: Auto-loading Pixel Maps
Hmm, strange...
Here's the situation: I created a pixel map effect that I liked with a certain group of fixtures and saved it as a virtual playback (there's no other information in the playback, just the pixel map effect running). It works perfectly when I click the virtual playback (it's set to latch) to fire the cue. However, when trying to auto-load it from a main cue stack, I get nothing. When I auto-load other virtual playbacks with other information in them (also set to latch), those cues work like normal. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I know that the master intensity of the pixel mapped fixtures is up, so that's not the problem...

Re: Auto-loading Pixel Maps
I've tried with an effect playback located in the playbacks workspace but it still works fine. I've also tested running the cuelist from the playbacks workspace at the same time. This is with the default program key profile, ie. touch key = latch for cues and cuelists. If your cuelist is located in the playbacks workspace or anywhere else that doesn't have a fader check that it is set to latch.
Re: Auto-loading Pixel Maps
Meant to say that the originating playbacks do not highlight as active when autoloaded, contrary to what I suggested above. I was sure they did but must have imagined that. Apologies if that confused anyone!

Re: Auto-loading Pixel Maps
Yeah, all of my pixel map effects are set to latch, and they are not auto-loading. As I said earlier, I can get everything else to work via auto-load (like shapes, colors, positions, etc.), but not if it has only a pixel map effect in it.
Did you try making a pixel map effect, saving it as a cue (with no other information in that cue), and then firing it via auto-load? That is still not working for me. I know that the virtual playbacks don't highlight when they're run via auto-load, but that's not what I'm judging it by: I've got my vis set up and I'm not getting any output when I auto-load the cue with a pixel map effect in it. When I just use my mouse to latch on the virtual playback, the cue works fine and the pixel map effect comes right in.

Re: Auto-loading Pixel Maps
Yes I did. I cannot find a problem. My steps to test are as follows:
- New show
- Patch some dimmers
- Open Vis
- [Shapes and Effects]
- [Pixel Mapper]
- Select dimmer group
- [Create Effect]
- Select Layer 1
- Add Block element
- Add Linear Movement animation
- Record cue
- Clear
- Start recording cue list
- [Advanced Options]
- [AutoLoad Live Playbacks On] (speeds up recording process)
- Fire effect cue
- Record cue-list step 1
- Exit (to end recording)
- Kill effect cue
- Fire cue-list (lifting fader if assigned to one)
- Go
= Visualiser shows effect cue running.
