MIDI / DMX IN / Audio

Postby dmxproductions » 05 Apr 2013, 14:48

Hi,

Can anyone help clarify a few questions i have.

1. DMX IN / MIDI when triggering scenes outside of the rolla cue, ie virtual playbacks do anything other than just switch ON/OFF scenes? Can you use MIDI to trigger macros?

2. Linked to the above is is possible for the trigger to act as a swop and just flash an effect such as a strobe? If so how?

3. Can you get an external BPM source into Titan? Such as from a PA feed?

PS if anyone could tell me when Avo will release a fader wing would make my day and save a lot of work building a customised midi interface!

You need to play with the available options when assigning the trigger. In particular 'trigger type' is what you should have a look at. It defaults to 'Hardware' and thus controls the virtual playback touch button (which per default key profile is set to 'latch'). If you change 'trigger type' to 'Item', then you can assign the trigger action you want, like 'set level', 'swap', 'add' and others.

BPM source: not that I've heard of. The Titan series consoles do not feature a sound-to-light input.

As for the fader extension: maybe something like this will be done in the future - there is even a thread about this. But I have no idea if, when, how. Hence, if you need anything soon, I'd definitely go for the MIDI option
