sg.dat file for making own shapes
does anyone have any experience making their own shapes editing the sg.dat file or have any shapes they made they'd be willing to share or know of anyplace which i could just get shapes to load into a sapphire 2000?
The best thing to do with the SG.DAT file is to have a look at it and have a little play around. Its farily easy to understand, just have a good look at the data and the name of a shape and it'll make sense.
Let me know how you get on, if your shapes are any good and might be useful I could even add them to the SG.DAT file

Tnx Ed. I completely forgot to come back to this one after the shock of reading the request! But I was going to say the same thing.
Personally I can't see the use of 'stars' or 'triangles' etc.
The shutter/movement idea is nice but I can't see it being possible. Each shape is based on a pattern. Although you can apply the pattern to more than one attribute (with offsets etc) you can only use the one pattern for all. A pattern that turned something on and off (0/100%) would be different to one that created a nice gentle pan movement unfortunately.
For Oval I would simply overlay a pan and a tilt shape with identical speed but different size.
