gnamusic,

Right now you cannot edit or open an existing R20 file, that's a feature I'm testing still. I hope it will be available soon with many other features.

Raul R20 Builder v/s avo cache builder

Postby zahoorjury » 19 Nov 2007, 22:37

Hi Raul, Good work. i tried your software, it is Ok, but the Avo cache builder is still refusing to add a personility made by your software. I mean for the time being we can use those files which are prepared by ourself but after a WIPE ALL. they lost.
Your R20. builder also shows Manufacturer UNKNOWN , while adding the file into Avo cache builder.
Do you have any solutions ?.

Hi zahoorjury,

Cache Builder refuses r20 files made by my app?, I need to try that because never saw that, maybe you can send me your generated R20 for test with it. Do you receive any error popup or so?

The manufacturer on cache builder is determined by the begining of the r20 filename, example, if your r20 filename begins with MT, Cache Builder will show that manufactures is Martin... and so... just use 2 first characters to determine manufacturer, try it.

Raúl Gómez

New version will follow shortly. Because I'm working quite hard on it right now.

Next features released will be:
- Multilanguage interface
- Edit Macros
- Custom shapes creator

and probably edit R20, if I can finish testing.

I hope you can help me translating the program to your own languages when it become released :)

Very much looking forward to the new features! But, my installed version didn't want to update and the link in your post didn't erm....link.

Actually, your site appears to be down ?....

Thanks,

Hi Raul

Just a thought have you included the recent changes to the R20 personalities in your software. You may need to do this as not having them may cause some users problems.

The two changes are the addition of the NAME tag and a new attributes T=Red, U=Green, V=Blue, while B=Cyan, C=Magenta, D=Yellow remain unchanged.

The name tag has the format:

NAME "Manufacturer Name" "Fixture Name"

it comes after the DEVICE tag and allows you to specify a long fixture name. It is used in the Pearl Expert and Pearl 2008 software to list the manufacturers and fixtures with more intelligible names. If you do not include it then these desks will not see the personality.
