Hi,
I am new to Avolites and Titan and have some questions that I hope you can help me with.
My Algam MS60 moving heads are pointing 45 degrees panned wrong. Is there an offset-function to make them point in the same direction as the Visualiser?
I can not find the MW19x15ZX, or I can read the "MW19x15Z" but it does not take the correct arguments so I guess that is an old version.
Is there a way to create a new device, or how would you recommend me to solve it?

Re: Offset moving head pan and create new devices
You can adjust the orientation of fixtures in the Capture Visualiser by selecting them, toggling the wheel mode to visualiser and selecting the pan bank. This will connect the wheels to various parameters relating to the selected Capture fixtures such as position, orientation and rotation where selecting the pan bank will cycle through different pages of controls.
Normally you would orientate the fixture to match the real world using the fixture display as a reference point (typically represented as a rectangle on one side of the base of moving heads.
Sadly manufacturer's rarely document the calibration. If the pan/tilt calibration does not match the real-world and you would like it to be updated please submit a request via the form on the personality website explaining this in the notes section. We can then send you a document with instructions on how to determine the calibration for Capture.
If you require a new fixture adding to the library you can use the same form.

Re: Offset moving head pan and create new devices
When the Algam MS60 Moving Head is pointing straight forward in the Visualiser, it's pointing 45 degrees left offset of the stage. Isnt there a function to offset the fixture in pan/tilt so it aligns with the Visualiser?
I have tried to make my own d4-file in Personality Builder for my Algam Barwash 36-II. I have copied my file into:
Titan/Personalities/Algam_BARWASH36.d4
Avolites/Titan/Fixture Library/Algam_BARWASH36.d4
I have also tried to restart the software and my computer, but it still doesn't appear in my fixtures list.

Re: Offset moving head pan and create new devices
There isn't a function to offset the visualiser position as such but you could adjust the orientation of the fixture in the visualiser to the same effect. There is an offset function in Titan but this is intended to solve situations where you discover all of your programming is out by a certain amount, most likely due to the visualisation not matching reality. Here it sounds like the visualisation doesn't match reality in which case the best solution would be to fix that. If you submit a request as explained below I can send you a document with instructions on how to provide the details. Once we have these I can forward to Capture to update. That way it will be correct for you and any other users.
Regarding the custom personality file it's difficult to help without seeing the file but you need to place in My Documents\Titan\Personalities. Personalities placed in this folder will be preserved when updating the factory library. New personalities (or modes) need to be indexed before they will appear in the patch list. This happens automatically when starting Titan. If Titan is already running you can open the Patch View window, select the 'Personalities' tab and then select 'Rescan Library' from the Patch View context menu.
If it doesn't appear then it is most likely a problem with the personality. You may find clues as to the cause if you open the Avolites Log Viewer application (open folders and look at anything recent).
However if you need new personalities I suggest requesting via the form. This is the only way you can get integrated Capture visualisation (assuming there is sufficient information and the fixture can be simulated). It will also mean they are available for other users.
