Size Master for Chases

Postby ArieGroen » 02 Oct 2024, 12:48

Hi all,

Probably already asked somewhere but I cannot find it....

In the Options of a Chase, I can define a Speed Master AND a Size Master.
Speed Master works fine.
But, the Size Master doesn't do anything.
I have a bunch of Dimmer and/or Color chases in a Playback Group which I want to fade with just one fader.
So, the Size Master has to control the dimmer (HTP) level and/or the RGB/CMY levels (LTP)
Did I forget any settings to get this to work?

Thanks,
Arie

Size masters work on shapes and effects, not chases. You can record shapes and effects to the steps within a chase and the size master will control those. Depending on what you chases are doing you might be able to write them as a Key Frame Shape instead and record as a single cue Memory; the KFS could then be controlled by a size master linked to the playback.

OK. thanks Greg.
Just a bit confusing because since you can define a size master for a chase, it suggests it will do anything with the chase instead of the individual cues in the chase.

Cheers, Arie
