Hello everyone, sorry if this has been already covered.
My typical situation is as follows.
Theatrical environment. Led movers. Scant time: programming is done during dress rehearsals in the afternoon, showtime is in the evening.
Cues are recorded on playback faders, every fader set to Mode 3, Crossfade.
(I can't pre-program fade in/out times, because more often than not directors will ask for live transition times vastly different from rehearsed ones. Not fun, I know.).
However, everything is fine and transitions between cues go super smooth one after the other, until the director changes his/her mind and asks me to lower the intensity of the active cue, e.g. 100% is too bright, keep it at just 80%.
Because in this way, not only the intensities decrease, but also LTP channels start reverting to the values recorded in the previous cue: so maybe at 80% I'm not getting full red, but a pinkish hue, positions are 20% offset from where they should be, zooms are not full wide anymore etc..
Can you suggest me a way to get around this? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Perhaps you could just record and use an intensity master? For example a grand master or playback master.

Ahh thank you Nic, the easiest solution... and the one I didn't think about.
In consoles without a grand master, like the Quartz, this would mean page-locking a general intensity playback to every playback page, right?

If you need to access it on multiple pages, yes.
