Pearl 2008 Boris 3 Error Code 1221

I have a Pearl 2008 and the Boris 3 motherboard shows an error code of 1221. The LCD screen just spins, all the effects buttons are lit and the board won't start up. I've replaced the 4 memory chips and the battery. Can anyone suggest what else would be causing this? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

make sure you ave inserted them in the correct orientation .

if you have placed them in backwards hopefully they are not toast.

I was told by Avolites the memory chip orientation didn't matter. As long as you don't mix old chips with new.

The order doesn't matter the orientation does matter.

What is the proper orientation? I've installed them with the printing the same orientation as the Boris 3 on the board and "upside down" from the board printing

If you look on the chips there will be a half circle Notch on the top . if you look at the chip socket it also as a half circle notch .

these should be on the same side when you insert the chips ( which looking at the console with the DMX outputs at the top and the fader ribbon cables at the bottom) the notch should be to the left.

This is assuming you have a boris3 motherboard.

That's the way they are inserted. Could they have fried if they were inserted the wrong way?

my notes also say the 1221 error could be the ST9
