Dongle Not Found at TT after upgrade

Postby SamHUIfongching » 04 Dec 2015, 10:34

Hello! I have tried to upgrade a TT II from V7.1 to V9.1. I created a V9.0 Recovery Stick and finished the upgrade process. However, console appeared a message " Dongle Not Fund" after the restart. I thought it might be necessary to upgrade to V8.0 first. I created the " Tiger Touch v8.0 Recovery Creator requires V6.0 firmware updates". The upgrade process seems very smooth but the "Dongle Not Fund" still their. I have contacted avolites service but haven't got reply yet. I saw some thread before was talking about this issue but it does not help. Is it only can be fixed by Avolites team?

Have you updated the panel firmware?

Thank you for answer me. The "Titan Health Check" found a green "tick" on the USB Panel Firmware. Does it mean I have a latest version? I got a red "cross" on this item when I finished the V9.0 upgrade, that's why I chose the " Tiger Touch v8.0 Recovery Creator requires V6.0 firmware updates" on the web page and redo the upgrade again. Did I do something wrong?

You cannot do anything wrong. When performing recoveries it is not important which order they are applied as they completely replace the operating system and software each time. Just use the latest (v9.0) recovery and then run the 9.1 installer over the top. There was an important panel firmware update after version 7. If this hasn't been updated then you will get the 'dongle not found' message when trying to run later versions of Titan. After you have completed the recovery/install open Usb Expert, go to the service tab and there should be some updates to apply.
