Chase Speed Parameters

Postby Mark McEwan » 12 Dec 2014, 19:31

Hi,
I'm having a strange issue with chases. I have built several colour step chases on various fixtures, when playing back they completely ignore any speed control and seem to go at their own rate, I've managed to get the fault to occur on both a Pearl Expert v8 and Titan One/Simulator v8. I managed to get a dimmer chase working succesfully, but colour chases keep ignoring their speed. I'm trying to work out if this is something i've done in titan, or its a bigger issue

Cheers
Mark

Probably you built the chase using palettes. There is an issue in Titan 8.0 that breaks chase timings in that case. Workaround for the moment: open the chase in playback view, highlight the column 'Delay Time' for all steps, set it to 'Global' from the menu, do the same for 'Fade Time'. This is one of the things to be addressed in a software update which should be available soon.

Note that the issue is specific to using preset palettes (the ones that are automatically created when patching fixtures). It does not occur with user created palettes.
