DMX-in triggering issue

Postby antisthenes » 15 Dec 2013, 07:53

Titan Mobile running 7.2.

Hog 4 is connected to port C as external fader board. While connected, random signal runs through the line and causes fixture blinking. There is no value changes in dmx output window.

Also tried Compulite, MA, Chamsys, Eurolite boards. The same!

Please make sure that you have the latest firmware installed by opening USB Expert Console and checking the Service tab. There have been a couple of firmware updates to the Titan Mobile and although the latest firmware is included with the software it needs to be manually flashed to the hardware. If USB Expert Console shows Acw service not started then choose Acw Service > Start from the Tools menu.

Gregory!

Thanks for your immediate reply. I checked the way you suggested and that's was right - the service wasn't started. Can't wait to test it on a real arena with fixtures.

I think that you may have misunderstood me. The service is started automatically when running the Titan Mobile software however if you run USB Expert Console directly you will need to start the service before information about the Titan Mobile hardware is displayed. Once the service is running check that the Titan Mobile and DMX panels are both shown on the left with green icons next to each. Then select Services from the tabs on the right and check if any updates are displayed. If there are updates are available, press the Update Now button to perform the update.
