Is there a non-programmer way to "park" a fixture in a certain location? I asked about this before and recieved some very good ideas about sneaking palettes into the programmer in Run Mode Normal, but i have another situation where placing the stuff into the programmer won't work.
I sometimes work for a nightclub with a busking system in place -- using both the palettes and playbacks. It is a Pearl 2000 running the 2000 software. The owner had just installed some spiffy new curtains, and 1 hour into the evening he asked me to pull 3 movers out and have them stay on the curtains all night. Because i am constantly using and clearing the programmer for the busking system, i couldn't park the fixtures there using that method, so i had to hastily make some chases and shapes that didn't apply those fixtures, but then i couldn't use all the other movements and chase scenes because they would have pulled the fixtures back onto the floor. Is there another way to "PARK" a fixture or certain DMX channel in one position or color or gobo, so that anything else you do does not affect them until you release them (kind of the way REDUCE FIXTURE INTENSITY works?) If not, this would be really useful -- on another gig one of the performers asked me to park a fixture on their music stand in open white so that they could see! i had to change it in all the position and color palettes...
Parking Fixtures or DMX channels

Currently there is no way, but I am very familiar with the situation! This was the reason for my 'remove shapes for selected fixtures in RMT' suggestion in the wish-list.
The ability to override any attribute would be invaluable, not least for when those moving heads are having a bad day (which seems to happen all to often...)
I will add this to list, along with a new one
