Pearl 2004 Offline Editor Problem

Postby matt.ladkinlx » 12 Mar 2005, 14:36

Hi there,

am new to this forum so apoligies if this has already been answered I have downloaded the Pearl 2004 software from the website, installed it and have gone to run it. After a few minutes of operation a message box displaying "Sort it out!!" appears on the display screen and i am unable to get rid of it without manually shutting the program down from the task manager.

I am running the software on an XP laptop with a 1.5gb Intel Celeron processor with 384mb RAM and 32mb graphics.

Why is this happening.

Thanks alot

Followed path to old question but have the following problem:

When i save it as simfix.reg and open the file an error message:

"you can only import binary enteries from the registry file" appears.

What should i do?

It may be easier to edit the registry directly.

This is quite easy, but you must be VERY careful!

In XP:
Start/Run....
Regedit <return>

In the editor, navigate to the pearl sim entries, just like you would with directories:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Avolites\Pearl\PearlSimulator

Double-click on the 'zoomedbuttons' field on the right-hand side.

Enter '0' (zero) as the value.

Close regedit (there is no save etc.)
